On Friday October 17th, the NAPE League All Stars, make that No Stars!, took to the ice for a friendly game against some NHL legends including, Hall of Famer Guy Carbonneau, recently retired, but still could play, David Desharnais, 70 goal, 150 point season superstar Bernie Nicholls, Newfoundland native Michael Ryder, other Montreal alumni, including Brian Skrudland and Sergio Momesso, one of the famed Sutter brothers, Rich Sutter, former NHLer John Lablanc, and coached by former enforcer Chris “Knuckles” Nilan.
A huge thank you to the Legends team for their gracious attitude both on and off the ice. and for the after party at Greensleeves! It was a thrill of a lifetime for all of us scrubs who got to take the ice against them and to share a beverage and chat with them after the game. Here are some pictures of the evening.
